Number 2 of 23: I think is going to be an interesting journey. I often feel that I am getting left behind with all the new technology and its uses. With 23 Things on a Stick, I am hoping to get a feel for new ways to catch the attention of my students and staff members.

Abram talked about finding the time for 23 Things. I am at the point in my life when my children are gone and on their own, so I enjoy taking the time to sit down and learn new knowledge and skills. I do remember those earlier years through, and I know how precious time can be. I guess the best advice I can give is what was told to me by my pediatrician after my first child was born. I had told him that I felt guilty at times for taking the time to sit down and read. He told me; "Take time to take care of yourself, and everything else will take less time and care." I believe that we, as professionals, need to take the time to understand the new tools that our available to us and our patrons, and this will help us feel less overloaded and enjoy our jobs more.

I know that I have alot to learn in this information highway. There are many Web2.0 tools that I have some knowledge of, but have not had the chance to sit down and really play with them. I am, as Abram stated, an "experienced based learner." I need to do to understand. Once I am more familiar with the options, I then can reassure our school to let us take down the obstacles so that the students may explore and learn.

Number 1 of 23: This is my first time in a blog. My students talk about them all the time, so I suppose it is time that I get up to date.
